The person i choose is Henri Fayol.
He was a mining engineer but he became famous for his contributions to the administration. He was born in 1841 in Istambul. Fayol became managing director in 1888 of the "Compagnie de Commentry-Fourchambault-Decazeville".
his most important contributions were "the Principles of management".
One of the principles is "division of work": work specialization is very important for efficient organization. Currently the division of work is employed in organizations of all kinds.
Other principle is "Equity": is about being fair to the employee.
"Remuneration": fair pay to employees.
We can see that the contributions of Fayol are terms that deal in all organizations today.
He also published important books like "Industrial and General Administration" and "General and Industrial Management."
Fayol was one of the major contributors to the classical approach to management, we need to understand their approach to the era in which he lived. Their contributions were important because they ordered and classified concepts that are present in every organization.
In my career we have to read Fayol's books a lot of times. I met him because in the subject "organization theory" we had too read chapters of "General and Industrial Management".
Honestly I prefer modern authors who write about human relationships of the organizations.
